São Paulo is a city that lacks public spaces for pedestrians and social gatherings. This project tries to rescue the public street atmosphere by using elements such as mineral paving, large benches and greenery.
The client wished to have a space that would be distinguished from the standard mall atmosphere. Combining comfort and security with the ambiance of a pedestrian street was the main focus of the project.
We have selected neutral materials in order to highlight the luxury brands present at the mall. Stone flooring was applied, as well as tropical Cumaru wood and elements in aluminum and corten steel, forming a discrete palette. Large zenithal openings assure the natural lighting, fans where placed along the hallways to regulate the temperature in São Paulo’s pleasant climate.
The landscape design is the most remarkable feature of the mall, with an impressive tropical flora present in every floor, by the large trees planted on the ground or the hanging gardens next to the balconies.
