Vieira Souto Cofee Table | Studio Objeto
This coffee table was designed in 2008 by Arthur Casas for an apartment located on Vieira Souto, the avenue that runs along Ipanema Beach. Its design echoes the graphic pattern of the iconic Portuguese stone promenade created by Roberto Burle Marx. The tiles are hand-painted in four colors developed especially for this piece—one of which mimics the blue of the Carioca sea—and fired in high-temperature kilns. In addition to tile, the Vieira Souto table can also be made in glass or marble.
