The last twelve months have been marked by great excitement in the real estate market. While real estate companies quickly captured the most urgent demands, architectural firms indicate what is to come in the near future.
As part of the resumption of the second half of last year, we have seen a huge increase in demand for building projects, many of which are expected to be delivered in the coming months. We see that developers found in architecture a way to qualify their offerings and bring important advantages in terms of positioning and product. This experience has allowed us to see how good projects improve the planning and execution stages, help reduce implementation costs and enhance the return prospects for investors and partners.
Another front that we saw rapidly expanding was that of horizontal condominiums. We have never had such a demand for this type of integrated design, including plot design, common areas, landscaping, infrastructure, leisure and various possibilities for residential projects to be implemented. Real estate development companies have already understood that delivering a subdivision is not enough — it is necessary to enable different lifestyles. Clear guidelines help to give unity and identity to the projects, assuring flexibility and convenience to future residents.
It is a moment of valuing the architecture and the level of control (including quality) it provides. Architecture has clearly also assumed the role of a strategic tool to achieve ESG goals, a fundamental agenda for companies in all sectors. In real estate, it was necessary to look for ways to optimize materials, reduce energy consumption and create spaces with more natural lighting and ventilation.
The economic outlook for the coming months is not exactly optimistic. But if, on the one hand, they should bring more caution to entrepreneurs, on the other, they should help architects assume increasingly strategic roles in the real estate market, civil construction and, above all, people’s quality of life.
Given this scenario, my office understood and absorbed the demand that our role as architects goes beyond designing, because of good buildings, with signed architecture, the market, fortunately, is becoming full. So, how to deliver an even more complete, innovative and contemporary project? How to transform people’s daily lives even more? How to put something more competitive on the market? Over the past few months, we’ve pored over these questions and found the answer. Thus, Casas_id is born – I’ll tell you more soon.
